Since opening in February 2013, HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU has operated as a lifestyle hotel where global travelers and locals can meet and interact under the concept of “Meet Local Feel Global.” The hotel has opened its rooftop, which has a stunning view of Sky Tree, for “Rooftop Movie Night,” a film screening open to all.
Food, drink and conversation are welcome at this event, as we want people to connect in a comfortable way through screenings in the open space of the rooftop. You can share your opinions about the film with the people you come with or people you meet on the spot while enjoying drinks and food during this one-of-a-kind film-viewing experience. This is the perfect opportunity to embrace the changing of seasons and bask in the cool autumn air while experiencing a relaxing outdoor cinema.
Screening of the Food Road Trip Movie “Chef”
This year’s screening of the sizzling gourmet road movie “Chef” is based on the theme of “autumn of appetite.” Karl, the executive chef of a prestigious restaurant in Los Angeles, quits the restaurant due to a disagreement with the boss and starts a mobile food truck business despite many setbacks. With the help of his ex-wife, son and friends, he travels across the U.S. and discovers what is important to him through mobile sales in this heart-warming comedy. Enjoy the delicious food and road trip adventures that will tickle both your appetite and your desire to travel.
Foods that are perfect for watching films
The ‘beignets’ in the film are reproduced and sold in limited quantities!
Popcorn is the most popular accompaniment to a film, but we wanted to immerse you in the world of the film even more, so we have prepared ‘beignets’, which appear in the film, for this event. Beignets, meaning “fried dough,” are a food of French origin and are characterized by their fluffy, doughnut-like texture. The hotel has recreated the same beignets as the square beignets in the film, which are covered with a lot of powdered sugar. Beignets with gelato from the Nezu gelato shop “SLOW GELATO in bulk” are also available. The fluffy beignets are the best match for the rich sweetness of the milk gelato.
Beignet cup: 250 yen (incl. tax)
Beignet ice-cup: 400 yen (incl. tax)
Slider burgers with flavors from different countries
The café at HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU offers the Slider Burger, a palm-sized hamburger, with four of six varieties available in vegan form, catering to a variety of food preferences. The size of the burgers makes them easy to eat while watching a film and they are perfect as a snack to go with drinks. The all-you-can-drink menu offers a choice of draft beer, highballs, orange juice, apple juice and iced tea.
Enjoy your burger and drink in a picnic style.
