Arriving at Kyoto Station and heading to the hotel’s location

Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, it’s just a quick 10-minute train ride to our hotel. Enjoy the charming streets of Kawaramachi along the way, but don’t forget to hop off at the right stop! There are loads of souvenir shops, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby, and our friendly staff is always here to help with any questions you might have.

Sightseeing Time! First up is the “Kiyomizu-dera”  Temple, a Symbol of Kyoto.

After checking in, take a 15-minute bus ride from the hotel to reach this must-visit attraction. Kodaiji is another gem, boasting stunning Momoyama-era architecture, cobblestone gardens, and peaceful bamboo groves—a true glimpse into old Japan. Don’t miss the chance to stroll through the well-preserved historic areas of Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka, perfect for snapping some local pics. And of course, there are plenty of souvenir shops and eateries to indulge in the flavors of Kyoto!

Take a Break Sipping on Matcha at the Entoku-in Temple

After Kiyomizu-dera, take a breather at Entoku-in Temple nearby. Sip on some delicious matcha while soaking in the beautifully maintained gardens and the temple’s incredible 400-year-old history.

Fushimi Inari Taisha and the thousand torii gates.

Next up, the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, known for its “Thousand Torii Gates.” It’s the main shrine among thousands in Japan, and you can reach it with a 30-minute bus ride from Kiyomizu-dera. The vibrant red gates are a sight to behold!

Traditional Performing Arts “Noh & Kyogen”

In the afternoon, we recommend experiencing traditional Japanese performing arts, Noh and Kyogen. Noh showcases elegant dances and captivating music, while Kyogen is a dialogue-filled performance with lots of humor. You’ll find numerous Noh theaters in Kyoto, so check the schedules for a mesmerizing show!

Experience Kyoto’s Nightlife in Pontocho.

As night falls, let’s dive into Kyoto’s nightlife at Pontocho, just a short walk from The Millennials Kyoto. This narrow alley is famous for occasional Geisha sightings! Immerse yourself in the Kyoto atmosphere, enjoy the picturesque streets, and savor some delicious Kyoto cuisine, like Kaiseki meals. After dinner, take a leisurely stroll along the Kamogawa river for a relaxing end to the day.

Relax in the Hotel Lobby.

Back at the hotel, our lobby is a great place to hang out. It’s got a kitchen, so feel free to cook, chat, and take it easy at your own pace. Connect with fellow travelers, share experiences, and create wonderful memories together during your stay.

Kyoto has so much to offer, even just around the hotel! And remember, you can hop on a train or bus the next day to visit the Arashiyama area.

We can’t wait to welcome you to The Millennials Kyoto when you visit the city!
